This job in McClean VA was the replacement of two heat pump systems. A 4-ton 2-stage system was used for the top floor with an attic-mounted AHU featuring a variable speed blower. We also replaced a 1.5 ton hat pump system that served the loft above their attic. There were complaints of noisy operation and erratic temperature control. We chose a fully-modulating 2-ton system for this one. The owners report greatly reduced noise level and increased comfort!
